The 11/26/04 Ride to Idyllwild, and back

- Rick (former Bro'-in-law) on his 03 Roadking
- Tom (co-worker with Rick) on his 96 Intruder
- Danno on Rick's '00 Softail Deuce (95 cu. in. of grunt and thunder!)

Where we rode:
Over ~200 miles from Rick's house, down to (74) Ortega Hwy, over to Idyllwild (stopping for a break at The Lookout, above Elsinore). We ate lunch at Jo'An's Restaurant in Idyllwild. Then took 243 to I10, to I60, to I215, to I91, 55, to 22, to Harbor and back to Rick's.
From the ride...
- Rick was extremely gracious, to offer up his newly "acquired
and customized" Deuce for the ride.
- The 243, from Idyllwild to Banning, can be a bit sketchy in the
late afternoon, with the temperature dropping on wet pavement.
Still, a nice stretch.
- I can do without Orange County freeway traffic (Danno). That's scary stuff.
