eurocop: Howdy from Bern

All,

(Danno here) We found an I-cafe in Bern, CH. After a few tough climb
days, we decided to train the segment from Luzern to Bern. That went
just fine. Today we head to Thum, then Interlaken. All is going well.
We really like Bern. It's the capital of Switzerland, and is definitely
worth a stop on a visit to this neck of the woods. The rest of our
riding looks fairly flat, so we may take some side trips after we hit
our daily destination.

An interesting thing happened on the way from Einseideln to Luzern. I
guess one part of our trail actually overlapped a mountain bike race.
We found ourselves riding a large downhill section past some racers.
Pretty cool. We stopped at the bottom to pick up our prize... actually,
just to snag some freebie stuff from the promoters.

(Annie) These Alps are nothin! Actually, I don`t think we've really hit
them quite yet. We did climb some pretty big hills over the last couple
of days, tho. My legs are still shaking just thinking about them.

I think we've entered tourist central...a lot of Americans (and other
types) in these bigger cities. We have gotten very lazy, and don't even
try to speak German anymore. Bern is cool...even though it's the
capitol, it still has a "small town" feel to it.

OK, enough typing, on to riding!
