eurocop: In Austria
Howdy all,
(Danno)Sorry we haven't checked-in in so long. Not a whole lot of
connectivity in Bavaria. Since you heard from us last we made friends
with a couple from Donauswörth who just happened to own a
Kawasaki/Triumph shop. They took us for a day of riding throughout
Southern Bavaria. He was good enough to let me put the first 200 miles
on a brand new Triumph Thunderbird Sport 900. Awesome!
We got in a another great bicycling day after that - 90km. Today we
took a train from Füssen to Bondensee(Lake Constance). It's a huge
lake; we expect a few excellent days here. This hotel ranks among the
top on our list, coming in at only 1071 Austria currencies??? This
Internet kiosk in the lobby doesn't hurt either. We'll send more soon.
(Annie) Hey everyone! Riding in Germany has been so awesome. . .we've
seen rolling hills, mountains, old castles, corn fields, and lots of
cows. Today we visited the Neuschwanstein castle (the Disneyland
castle). . .it was pretty amazing. We're getting a lot of miles in. It's
rained almost everyday, but we've managed to avoid riding in any
downpour, as most of the rain comes in late afternoon. It's totally
thundering right now.
So, we conquered Germany, and the first leg of our trip. Today were in
Austria, tomorrow Switzerland and the Alps!
OK, time for ein dunkelsbier or zwie!
Miss you all!
