We're quite excited about our first trip to Europe. We fly on June 20th and will check our new mountain bikes as baggage; they're all decked-out for road riding(yuk). Actually, it's not that bad. We've been training with some decent San Diego rides (30-45miles, lots of elevation). Last weekend(5/30) was my first chance to pull the B.O.B Yak. Pretty wacky. I wanted to get a feel for the kind of weight I'll be pulling on the trip, so I loaded it down with a cooler full of ice and tasty brews. It was kinda fun. Every biker we passed asked, "What's in the cooler? Beer?" Maybe roadies aren't so bad after all.

Our goal on this trip is to see "small town" Germany and Switzerland. No museums. No dressing nice(only nice biking clothes). Just biking from town to town, stopping at cafes and pubs (not necessarily in that order.)
