Hi!
I'm researching Coppocks (my mom's line)
and came across your adress; perhaps you'd like to see what I've found so far,
and maybe you have some more information that I don't have yet;
Everything is interesting! photos, stories, sibling
lineages, etc... I'm particularly curious to know whence descend the Coppocks of
Iowa, because to my knowledge, the line came there with Anne Lynch Coppoc, widow
of Samuel, remarried to a Mr Rawley; of her six children by Samuel Coppock, only
Joseph, the youngest survived, married and had kids, but he raised his family in
Chambers, Nebraska...
I have however noticed a couple of names on a
census roll, that were not in the published books and genealogies I know, and
wonder if the Iowa Coppocks are descended from them? Jordan and Essmith Coppock
(Copic in the Census)
I would like to complete a bit of the records of
the Coppock Family, especially this line who's role in the Civil War was
exemplary (I myself am descended on a different line; the Migrating Ancestor
Aaron Coppock's grandson Joseph, while this line is from the younges grandson,
Samuel born 1748, who wed, I believe, Anne Stillwell).
Any information you might have on the Coppocks
of Coppock Iowa, and their lineage and descendants, would be greatly
appreciated.
Annie
